The VIEWPixx series is a suite of calibrated research-grade LCD monitors conceived specifically for use in vision science labs.   • Full HD Performance: Our VIEWPixx displays operate at 1920 x 1080 pixels @ 120Hz. This resolution, commonly known as Full HD (High Definition), ensures that every detail is rendered with crispness and precision, making it ideal for tasks requiring high visual fidelity.
  • Industrial LCD Glass. Built to withstand the rigors of scientific experimentation, VIEWPixx displays feature high-performance industrial LCD glass for exceptional clarity and reliability. A high-quality liquid crystal layer yields rapid pixel response times, ensuring clean frame transitions with no blurring or distortion.
  • Fully Calibrated and Uniform Display. Each VIEWPixx undergoes rigorous factory calibration to ensure >95% display luminance uniformity across the screen, and >90% display colour uniformity.
  • Innovative Scanning Backlight Technology. Our scanning backlight technology mimics the scanning raster pattern of a CRT, so that pixels only illuminate after stabilizing. This produces fully deterministic pixel on/off states and ensures crisp, clean frame transitions with minimal ghosting and blurring.
  • Built-in Digital TTL Triggering: Synchronize third party systems with video output using our built-in 24-channel digital TTL output. TTL triggers are automatically locked to visual stimulus onset with microsecond precision, providing an easy and intuitive method of hardware control and event marking.
  • Comprehensive Scientific Display Solution: Video synchronization, combined with the fully deterministic properties of the LCD panel, result in a truly research-ready display suited to advanced psychophysics research and other timing-sensitive applications.

The VIEWPixx /EEG is a cost-effective model that offers a standard 8 bits per colour and a plug-and-play design. The VIEWPixx /3D has an expanded data acquisition system capable of sending and receiving audio, analog, and digital signals; it is supported by our high-level LabMaestro software, and APIs for MATLAB and Python. The VIEWPixx /3D can display up to 10 bits per colour (true high bit depth) via custom video modes, and can act as a stereoscopic 3D display when paired with a 3DPixx active shutter glasses kit.
