Research Essentials
Research Essentials — turnkey vision research, out of the box
A complete vision research kit — calibrated 27″ OLED display, 2 kHz binocular eye tracking, TTL-precision responses, LabMaestro experiment suite, chinrest, console display, and colorimeter. One validated ecosystem, so you can get right to the research.
Eight components, one ecosystem
Every component is engineered, calibrated, and validated to work as one precise system — out of the box.
VIEWPixx3 /OLED
27″ calibrated OLED, 2560 × 1440 @ 120 Hz, 10-bit colour, 98.5% DCI-P3, factory-linearized gamma.
TRACKPixx3 eye tracker
Driven by the VIEWPixx3 hardware directly — no dedicated eye-tracking PC. 2 kHz binocular sampling, 1.7 ms gaze latency, 0.5 ms blink recovery.
Chinrest
Adjustable head support for repeatable participant positioning across sessions.
RESPONSEPixx button box
TTL-based subject responses with microsecond timestamps. No USB polling jitter.
LCD console display
Mirrored experimenter view for monitoring the participant feed without GPU overhead.
i1Display Pro3 colorimeter
X-Rite (VPixx Edition) for ongoing luminance and CIE x,y validation in your lab.
Trigger cable
Complimentary cable to interface VIEWPixx3 with a third-party recording system of your choice.
LabMaestro software suite
All-in-one hardware calibration tool and experiment builder. Configure VPixx devices and design paradigms in a single drag-and-drop interface.
Research-grade out of the box
A single validated ecosystem — every component characterized, every signal on the same clock.
Calibrated by default
Factory-linearized luminance, Research Mode disables variable-brightness OLED behaviour, X-Rite colorimeter included for re-validation.
Gaze data on the same clock
TRACKPixx3 timestamps reference the same hardware timebase as your stimuli and responses. No cross-device alignment required.
TTL responses, no polling
RESPONSEPixx feeds timestamps to VIEWPixx3 over TTL; reaction times are recorded against the display’s own FPGA clock.
